Our fifth visit to La Villa!
The Bennis family – Maidenhead, Berkshire,UK - Easter 2010
I forgot to put a few words in the guest book, so I have added a few words below that you can cut and paste.  This is our fifth visit to La Villa, which we have been visiting since it was built. Plain and simple the Villa gets 10 out of 10 for location, facilities, privacy and comfort. Jenny is a star and will do anything to assist in making ones stay enjoyable and nothing is too much trouble. A box of Yorkshire Tea Bags and a bottle of Brown sauce does the job. The surrounding area offers every conceivable desire for vista, flora and fauna. Nice is less than an hour and Monaco is a must just to see the posers and the Botox.

Our stay at La Villa!
The Ennis family – USA - March 2010  - Fifth year for us as well! Our vacation this year was great. The house, as always, was perfect. We ventured farther to Nimes. The whole family enjoyed the town and the arena. Glanum was, however, a highlight. We ate very well and once more enjoyed a great lunch at Les Deux Pins. We finally got to eat at the place by the roundabout on the way to Le Muy. We spent another nice day hiking around Bargeme. We really have enjoyed our time at your house and the Var. We tell everyone about it. We hope to see you again soon, David Ennis

A great villa!
Knowles - Essex,UK - Jan 2010
So we are not the only people who have been here more than once!  It's our third visit to Jenny's lovely villa - each time around Christmas/New Year.  A great, well-equipped villa, a great owner/host, and a great setting in a beautiful region of France (even in winter). If you like tasting/buying wine, there is so much choice - try Domaine Grande Bastide near Tourettes. Health and wealth (British pound) permitting, we will be back next winter.

Excellent accommodation
Kelly InterContinentals - UK, S.Africa & Australia - Dec 2009/Jan 2010
That was a magnificent break.  Something completely different. A day at St Tropez, a day in the Gorges, New Year's dinner in a wonderful restaurant in Draguignan: the market place in Le Muy and lots of walks thro' delightful towns - and to top it all, wonderful company and excellent accommodation.

Lovely time
The Bells, Nr Watford, UK - November 2009
We had a lovely time in Provence and at Villa Jaune.  The villa was beautifully equipped with all we could need and we're already planning a trip back in the summer to make full use of the lovely pool!  We visited Gorges du Verdon, St Tropez, Provencal market at Le Muy, perfume factory in Grasse, Chateaudouble and other quaint hilltop villages, pottery in Moustieres St Marie.  We had a lovely holiday - Thank you Jenny for your hospitality - We hope to see you (+ Phom) again soon.

Wonderful stay
Edelman Family, Finland - October 2009
We had a wonderful stay in Provence and Villa Jaune.  We escaped from the greyness and coldness of Finland and here we have enjoyed a few sunny and warm autumn days - and a couple of rainy days.  The pool was a bit cold even for Finnish people! Trips out to Antibes, Chateaudouble, Bargemon, St Moustieres. Saw vultures and golden eagles at Gorges de Verdun, swam in the Med, saw flamingoes at Hyeres. All fell in love with Pohm!

Three sunny weeks in Autumn!
Verweit Family, Holland - September/October 2009
It was very nice to be in this fine villa.  It is well equipped and in a good neighborhood. Jenny is very kind and helpful, and knows a lot about the towns around. My husband and son (who flied from London for a couple of days) went race cycling while I swam, sunbathed and read novels.  We enjoyed our three weeks very much.

Fantastic holiday
The Bakers, London, UK - September 2009
We had an excellent stay at "Villa Jaune". It was just what the doctor ordered for a relaxing holiday. We wanted somewhere quiet to unwind from the hustle and bustle of city life - and we got exactly that. It was difficult to draw ourselves away from the villa and especially the pool which was a real luxury to have all to ourselves.  Our host made us especially welcome and appreciated our time for quiet. We also enjoyed a great day with our French family at the villa - with the children have a great time in the pool - and a long leisurely lunch in the shaded area.  All in all a fantastic holiday!

Must see - must go!
7 Happy Punters, Cheltenham, UK - August 2009
If 'Villa Jaune' were a West End show it would run and run; and you would definitely walk out whistling with you hat cocked at a jaunty angle - a real must see, must go. The area is fantastic, scenery stunning, and Jenny (your host) is that rare animal - someone who always seems to be there when advice is needed ...... but so unobtrusive that you have remind yourself that she actually lives on the 3 acre site. In summary - tell your friends about this place, but only after you have booked!

A great holiday
NanCameToo, Glos, UK - July/August 2009
We all had a great holiday at 'Villa Jaune'. The weather was fantastic everyday and the swimming pool was wonderful. We didn't feel the need to travel far. The local villages are wonderful, especially Bargemon, we caught the boat from St Maxime to St Tropez which was fun, and we found a great restaurant at Claviers. Thank you Jenny for being so hospitable. We will definitely recommend your villa

Absolutely fantastic!
The Burts, Home Counties, UK - July 2009
Villa Jaune is without doubt the best property we have stayed in, everything about it is excellent. The location is wonderful, the furnishings are superb and the house has everything you need for a relaxing holiday - including Sky TV and fast internet connection. Whilst the property is secluded (and very peaceful) it is only a short walk to a convenient restaurant where you can order baguettes and croissants for the morning. Callas village is a 5 minute drive and has a great selection of restaurants and a really good supermarket and baker. The photographs on this site do not give a true sense of the location and quality of this property! Our first stay here was in 2005, and we have returned every year since.
Had another great holiday this year.  We forgot all the pessimism and politics in UK and totally relaxed! Time to read, sunbathe and swim; cook (especially crab and shellfish), entertain, linger over coffee in the village, eat out at good restaurants, have aperitifs in the bar, browse the local markets (clothes at Draguignan market are good value!).  It was good to see Jenny (and commission more of her artwork!), and to spoil our friend Pohm!  All in all a lovely unwind – and we have already booked next year’s holiday!

We loved it!
C & L, Newbury Berkshire, UK - July 2009
We loved our stay at the villa.  The pool and loungers are perfect for the very relaxing holiay that we wanted.  Having Sky TV and Internet allowed us to keep in touch with home. We visited three good restaurants, and have written the details for you in the Guestbook at the villa.  This is a beautiful unspoilt area of France - we loved it!

Wonderful stay
Les Belges, Bruges, Belgium - June 2009
We had a wonderful stay at this villa.  It is really nice, clean and well-equipped and a good terrace and swimming pool. We had everything we needed in and around the house.  We also enjoyed the region.  We visited Antibes, Port Gimaud, St Tropez, and Bormes-les-Mimosas which we liked very much. We like especially Callas which is a very nice small town with narrow streets.  Thank you Jenny for the nice stay and your friendliness.  We hope to come back to your villa.

Splendid villa jaune
Fieke, Grimbergen, Belgium - June 2009
We had a very pleasant stay at the "villa jaune". The house had everything we could possible need and even more, also it delivered what was promised on the website. The house was also very clean when we arrived, which is very important for us and so which was very much liked! We were very happy with the well equipped kitchen, the nice swimming pool and the covered terrace. We also enjoyed the quiet neighboorhood. Furthermore the house was well located to make some visits in the neighbourhood. We were also very charmed about the very friendly landlord, Jenny is really superb, but very discrete, you only see here when you want to see her. We will definetely go back to this house. From all the houses that we already rented in France, this is the one which had everything we could wish for

A Haven of Peace
The Crowd, Edinburgh, UK - June, 2009
We were delighted to find the 'Villa Jaune' just as the photos on the website, and so clean and well-equipped.  The owner is a mine of information on the area.  She advised us to go the the Music Festival at Antibes, which was fantastic, and how to get to Monte Carlo and back for only 12€.  That was a great day out. This holiday was a wonderful experience for us (a group of six 20/30-year olds) and we expect to return next year.

Beautiful Provençal Villa
Stevens Family, Lille, France - March, 2009
We had a wonderful holiday in Jenny's villa. The surroundings are stunning and really relaxing. We were with our 6 month old baby, dog and my mum.... Jenny provided everything we needed and more besides. We couldn't have asked for a more genuinely friendly and generous host. She really made us feel welcome. The scenery and hillside towns are wonderful and we particularly liked Bargemon, Moustiers and the lake, Aix (longer drive - but worth it) and the market at Le Muy was good. Worth checking out the local vineyards too of course! Many thanks for letting us live the provençal life for a couple of weeks. It was nice meeting you Jenny.

Babies welcome!
Les Pellegrins, Home Counties, UK - April 2009
We have never stayed anywhere where babies were catered for with such care and attention!  Jenny has obviously remembered how many sheets and towels a baby gets through in a week!  And we were delighted to find all the little extras - baby alarm, night light, etc,  as well as a big box of clean toys for our toddler.  We had a very laid back time - lounging around the house most of the time, but we did go to the markets Jenny recommends in her "Welcome" book.  They are well worth planning into your holiday!   Thank you very much for making it such a worry-free holiday, Jenny.

Wonderful spring break
Irene, Chesterfield, UK - April 2009
We have just had a great holiday at Jenny's superb villa.  No disappointments there - it is even better than the photos and descriptions! The standard of everything from the equipped kitchen to the bedding is very high.  A warm, clean, bright villa to come home to after our days out.  We are avid walkers, and did several of the planned routes Jenny gave us, without getting lost!  We highly recommend La Villa Jaune to everyone.  Thank you Jenny for looking after us so discreetly!

Best working kitchen!
TomC, St Neots, Cambs, UK - Mar 2009
The villa delivered everything that the description promised, and proved to be ideal for our early-season holiday. Almost uniquely in my experience the kitchen equipment included knives that met every food-preparation need; in fact, the kitchen is the best working kitchen I have encountered in a holiday property. My wife and I were made very welcome by the owner, who was more than helpful throughout our stay. We missed French TV (we normally rely on it for weather forecasts!), but the Sky installation covered every conceivable UK TV station, and we were able to access Meteo-France forecasts through the excellent wi-fi connection. Callas is an excellent centre for all kinds of activities, especially hill-walking (e.g. around the Verdon gorge) and walks on the coast (e.g. Cap Lardier), and we spent a very enjoyable half day looking at modern art at the Fondation Maeght (St Paul de Vence)

A Marvellous Villa Holiday
firefighter Toronto, On., Canada.- September 2008
Our party (4) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at "The Yellow Villa". This bright modern villa has all the amenities;clean bathrooms; well equipted kitchen; spacious dinning and living room area, complete with lap top; large bedrooms with good mattresses; walk-out to a lovely pool; Bar-b-Q and outside dining area.
Short drive to cote d'Azur, and to the amazing Vernon Gorge - as well as many other interests. It is located in a quiet setting, which is good for great sleeping. The quaint village of Callas is nearby with restaurants and post office and ATM.
One of the best advantages of this villa is the owner. Jenny can give you information re: the villa on your arrival; places to visit in the area; and is absolutely honest and trustwothy. If you choose this villa, you wil be delighted

Excellent villa
janne_ Finland - August 2008
Just returned from the villa with my family and what a place Jenny has down there !! Very peaceful location yet close to everything French Riviera has to offer. Lovely, well equipped villa and a great pool. It was really hard to get the kids (3 yo. and 5 yo. girls) out the pool.
And of course one feature to finalize great stay was Jenny and her lovely dog Pohm. All the way from arriving VERY late in the first day untill the last minute of our stay Jenny made us feel welcome and well looked after. Thank You dear Jenny !
ps. In case you need to rent a car from Nice airport and you don't want to stand in line for 3 hours just to get to argue about your credit card, stay away from Europcar...

Peycavier
whiskey surrey - July 2008
the villa is superbly looked after and jenny can not do enough for you and she makes you so welcome

Perfect villa
Family from Denmark - June 2008
We enjoyed our 14 days holiday in Villa Jaune very very much. We already miss the house, the pool, the surroundings and the sun and it is only 3 weeks since we stayed in the house!!
The owner provided a very good service and we can warmly recommend the villa to other guests. We will definitely rent the house again in the near future!!

La Villa Jaune
MAIDONIANS Maidenhead, Berkshire - March 2008
We have stayed at La Villa Jaune for the last three years. It is an excellent villa which is very well equipped with excellent accommodation in a secure and private location. The facilities are excellent with plenty of pool furniture to enjoy the great weather and south facing terrace. The location is ideal with two major towns less than 12kms away. We would recommend the Villa to any family for a holiday as it sleeps six people in comfort. The landlady Jenny is great and most helpful. We are looking forward to our next visit. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Perfect Holiday Destination
Janie S Edinburgh, Scotland - June 2007
I would sincerely recommend this lovely property. The villa is clean, well looked after and nicely decorated. The surrounding area is also very peaceful meaning that you can't help but feel relaxed. Further to this I found the landlady, Jenny, to be welcoming, friendly and knowledegable on the area.

Best holiday had in my lifetime so far!
Jaxanne Edinburgh -June 2007
I went with friends and we were a group of six. The villa is gorgeous, well thought out in design so really relaxing. It is a spacious villa and for six of us that was important. Very clean villa and beds and all modern amenities for our use. All as stated as advertised - no disappointments there.
We mainly relaxed at the villa as it was so peaceful and has all you need. However we did venture out to the beach at St Raphael at the suggestion of Jenny who is the best tourist guide ever.  We booked on the private beach - so worth it! (about €20 for half a day for rental of lounger and parasol)
Also at the advice of Jenny we went to Chateaubouble about a ten minute drive from the villa. It is a tiny village perched on the top of a rocky spur overlooking a series of green gorges and valleys cutting through the thickly forested hills below. Spectacular view and extremely old village with a fab terrace bar to stop for a drink, watch the locals play boules and see the views whilst seated.
Thanks Jenny for the most rememberable and enjoyable holiday we have had as a group of friends. We have now recommended to other friends (that have now booked) and I will see you again in September this year with my boyfriend.

Big chill out at La Villa Jaune......
Janet & Charles Farnham, Surrey, UK - August 2007
Arriving at La Villa Jaune was a real pleasure - departing 2 weeks later was really sad..... From the moment we arrived, Jenny, our delightful host, made us feel very welcome. She was a valuable source of local information and a real pleasure to know, as was her lovely dog POHM (a dog with an amazing history) and Fanny the cat.
The villa is smart, comfortable, in a lovely setting, and very well equipped with everything supplied for a really relaxing holiday.
After the grey, wet skies of an appalling British summer, La Villa Jaune and beautiful, luminous Provence was just what we needed - sunshine for the soul.

mother and daughter getaway

callas villa
pomme Durham - May 2007
Exactly what it says in the advert. Clean and well presented both inside and out, first class relationship with owner, been back and booked to return again.

fabulous location
BIDOU angleterre - July 2007
What a fabulous location for Jenny’s villa – secluded and pretty garden and great pool for the family. Best trips out were St Maxime which has good beaches, shopping at Cannes (£££); perfume factories at Grasse, the botanic gardens at Monaco, the amazing caves up the road, St Tropez and Gorges du Verdon. Jenny provides maps and guide books so don’t buy any! Thank you Jenny for a peaceful and enjoyable holiday from all of us – and heartfelt thanks for the time you gave to explaining things to the children – the only question they ask now is “When can we go back to Jenny’s house?” !! Peter is sorting out flights as I write, so see you again this year!!

perfect – very clean and well equipped
Holiday-Rentals UK - June 2007
We had a fabulous holiday! The villa was perfect – very clean and well equipped. The beds were very comfortable. The very relaxing surroundings and flood lit pool were brilliant. Andrew enjoyed his morning runs around the grounds in his attempt to get fit! Highlights were Al fresco meals under amazing star lit sky, St Maxime beaches and restaurants, glass blower at Biot, views at Gorge du Verdon, volley ball in the pool, and walking to the local restaurants. Thank you Jenny for your unobtrusive support and tourist advice. The best villa we have ever stayed at, and we’ve already booked it again for this year!

thoughtfully designed villa
trial- london - July 2007
We stayed in this thoughtfully designed villa 28th July to 11th August 2007. The property is very comfortable, clean and furnished to make you feel at home, offering valued extras, such as a dishwasher and computer with internet link. A high spot is the pool, which can be illuminated at night. The shaded eating area was extensively used by us. The owner is extremely helpful and friendly. She provided very good advice to us to assist when we had to sort out a minor road accident (which was not our fault!). There are good local restaurants and plenty to do within easy driving distance. We stayed for two weeks and managed to keep teenage children happy as well as enjoying the break ourselves. We had a very peaceful holiday and would highly recommend the property and the area to others.
